Glide across the calm waters of Lake Duluti on a guided canoeing trip. Surrounded by lush forest and overlooked by Mt. Meru, the lake offers a peaceful setting for birdwatching, photography, and enjoying the outdoors.
Your tour begins at Lake Duluti, an old crater lake at the base of Mt. Meru.
With your guide leading the way, you’ll paddle along the forested shoreline where you can spot monitor lizards and bird species such as fish eagles, kingfishers and herons. You might even see monkeys in the treetops!
Your guide will tell you about them and the amazing variety of plant life along the shore while you admire the views of Mt. Meru in the background and, if the sky is clear, even Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The activity is usually a few hours, but most people who aren’t bound to a busy schedule choose to stay there for the day to relax, swim & enjoy.
