Enjoy a guided hike around Lake Duluti. This peaceful crater lake offers walks along forested paths where you can spot birds, reptiles, monkeys and lush vegetation and learn about the lake’s volcanic origin from your guide.
The hike begins at Lake Duluti, located at the base of Mt. Meru. Your guide will lead you along the trails that circle the lake, passing through a forest filled with bird calls and vibrant greenery.
This hike provides plenty of opportunities for photography and wildlife observations, so keep your eyes open for monitor lizards basking on the shore, monkeys high up in the treetops and bird species such as kingfishers, cormorants and fish eagles. Admire the views of Mt. Meru in the background, and if the sky is clear, even Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The activity is usually a few hours, but most people who aren’t bound to a busy schedule choose to stay there for the day to relax, swim & enjoy.
