Explore Zanzibar in a completely different way on this quad adventure. Drive through rural villages and beautiful nature while experiencing the island’s daily life up close. This tour combines light adventure with cultural encounters, offering a fun and memorable way to see Zanzibar beyond the beaches.
The experience begins with a walk into the village of Unguja Ukuu. The tour offers a welcoming look into everyday life. Watch fishermen preparing their nets, women weaving mats, and children playing under coconut palms. It’s an amazing opportunity to meet the community, learn about local traditions, and experience the warmth of village life before your kayak tour.
After, you will board your clear kayak and push gently into the mangrove channels. As you glide forward, the world becomes quiet, with only the dip of your paddle and the distant call of birds echoing through the forest. The transparent kayak lets you see right beneath the surface: drifting leaves, darting fish, and shifting sand shaped by the water.
The mangrove roots rise like natural sculptures on either side, creating shaded tunnels where light filters through in patches. Your guide shares stories about the mangrove ecosystem: how the trees protect the coastline, shelter marine life, and play an essential role in Zanzibar’s environment. It’s a peaceful, slow-paced journey that lets you take in the subtle sounds, cool shade, and gentle movement of the water.
*Kindly note that children are permitted from age six and above. Driving the quad is allowed from 17 y/o.
