Your tour begins at a small Arabica coffee farm in Usa River, a village near Lake Duluti, where you’ll be welcomed by your guide and introduced to the process of coffee cultivation. Walk among the coffee plants while learning about how the beans are grown, harvested and prepared.
Next, you’ll see the traditional roasting process. Beans are roasted in a pan over firewood, releasing a rich aroma as they crack and darken into the familiar coffee we know. You’ll also learn about natural, small-scale methods that have been passed down for generations.
The highlight is, of course, tasting the freshly brewed coffee. Enjoy the flavour while sitting on a terrace overlooking the village and surrounding greenery. The clean air and relaxed atmosphere make this a memorable stop.
In addition to the coffee experience, guests are welcome to take a short walk through the neighbourhood. This is a chance to see daily life in Usa River, meet locals and enjoy the friendly community spirit.
